You never really know how life changing having a baby is until you have your own. No advice or stories or shared experiences can convey the depth of love that suddenly and so easily transforms everything. And there are some people who step so easily into the roll of parent that's like they'd been training for it all their lives. My friend Raven is one of those people.
I was so excited to get to hold her sweet boy and take his photo. I haven't taken many baby portraits (aside from my own kids and I'm not sure that counts) and photographing a new baby is completely different than trying to convince a toddler to smile at the camera. And I've fallen completely in love with Sawyer and the whole process of photographing a new snuggly baby.
